Crown, also known as ‘caps’, are virtually a full coverage restorations recommended for teeth which are severely decayed or broken.
Inlays and onlays are more conservative porcelain restorations which replace smaller parts of a tooth and are resin bonded to the remaining tooth structure to ensure proper strength and fracture resistance. They resemble puzzle blocks which fit precisely into a prep after decay is removed from your tooth.
